Commercial Diets For Large & Giant Breed Puppies

The aim with large-giant breed puppies is to grow them slowly.  Growing too fast can mean they are more at risk of growth challenges.  No diet is perfect and every dog is an individual.

Rotating through brands and flavours will provide the puppy a variety of nutrients and allow their gut flora to flourish.  Dogs who are fed the same thing all the time are at higher risk of developing allergies and food sensitivities.

For pet parents who are opting for a commercial non-kibble diet, we have included some options below to consider.  These options keep the protein between 70-100 g per 1,000 kcals.  Contrary to popular belief, it's not about the Protein % in the nutritional overview on the pack, there are other facts that come into this equation such as fat, moisture, ash & fibre.
